The Fukuoka JALT English Teaching and Research Conference 2010 will be held at Kyushu Sangyo University (map) on: Date: Saturday, October 2, 2010 Time: 10:00-17:00 Participation fee JALT Members: 1000 yen Non-Members: 2000 yen The main purpose of this conference is to begin an academic dialogue between teachers and researchers interested in improving the quality of their work in preparation for the fall conference season. Research in any area of language education will be welcome. Three types of proposals will be considered: 1. Reports on completed research 2. Works in progress (including completed research design and/or data collection) 3. Teaching presentations based on solid pedagogical theory Presentations will be symposium style, with two presentations on related topics for 20 minutes each followed by a 15-minute roundtable discussion led by a moderator. Every effort will be made to match submissions with similar topics.
