From Hakata Station
Take the JR Kagoshima Honsen (鹿児島本線) line north, heading toward Kokura (小倉) and Kitakyushu (北九州). Make sure you catch a futsu (普通), or normal, train. The kaisoku (快速)and tokkyu (特急)trains do not stop at the university train station! Get off at the 5th station, Kyusandai-mae (九産大前). The trip takes about 15 minutes from Hakata Station and costs 270 yen.
From Fukuoka Airport
Take the subway to Hakata Station (6 minutes, 250 yen), then change to the JR Kagoshima Honsen (JR鹿児島本線). See "From Hakata Station" above for further directions.
From Tenjin
From Tenjin, you can either take the subway to Hakata, then change to the JR Kagoshima Honsen (37 minutes, 470 yen - see above), or take a bus directly to the university (16-25 minutes, 420 yen). The train is probably easier to understand, but the bus is faster and less expensive.
By bus: you can catch a bus either at the Nishitetsu Tenjin Bus Center (recommended) or at the #18 bus stop in front of the Tenjin Yuubinkyoku-mae (天神郵便局前)bus stop (map), in front of the main Fukuokachuo post office. Several buses go past the university. The most frequent are those bound for Jiyuugaoka Minami San-chome (自由ケ丘南三丁目) and Akama Eigyosho (赤間営業所). Get off at the 4th stop from the Nishitetsu Tenjin Bus Center, Sangyo Daigaku Minamiguchi (産業大学南口).
